  • Condition: I believe this is an older platter from the hallmark, numbers & the bottom rim design. It has several blemishes due to older porcelain making techniques. There are glaze skips, a big glaze skip & glazed over clay bump dots in the middle of the platter, please see pictures #5 - 7. There is a darkened glaze pop on the rim on the outer side, please see picture #9. There is slight gold loss on the handles, please see pictures #5 & 7. Please see all the pictures & use the magnification feature to see all the details. The platter is ready to use & enjoy!

    Description

    CARLSBAD, AUSTRIA SERVING PLATTER   AK/CD   3376/63
    Large size suitable to serve a turkey or goose.  Perfect to use for the upcoming holidays!
    You may wish to serve a roast & place potatoes & vegetables around it as an attractive edible garnish.  A whole turkey will fit nicely for slicing & serving at the table or for serving buffet style.  The tall lip edges will keep all the juices safely inside the plate.
    Notice the cupped handles with gold gilt trim, please see pictures #10 & 11.  The handles are molded/shaped inwards for a good secure grasp of this platter especially important when it is filled with a heavy bird!
    Measures approx. 16.5" x 10.25" x 2", please see pictures #1, 8 & 9.
    Hallmarked on the bottom Carlsbad Austria with hand written numbers.  It has a unique bottom rim design in the middle, please see pictures #11 & 12.
