    Description

    Ceremonial belt of the Kuba Tribe of the Congo.  Woven fiber cloth and heavily beaded with red, white and black trade beads and courie shells on black cloth.  It is 36 inches long and 1 and 1/4 inches wide (2 inches wide at the center section).  Purchased by collector on Kinshasa in 1984, it remains in excellent condition.
