Hippo Group Green Verdite Shona Sculptures Zimbabwe Mother and Twins

Description

A diminutive group of mother and twin hippos. Sculpted in beautiful Green Verdite which is a rare and ancient stone found only along the border of Zimbabwe with South Africa (At 3.5 billion years it is among the oldest mineral deposits on the Earth's surface in a pocket which is severely depleted) and expertly carved by Shona sculptors they make a very serene setting together. They will be double-boxed and sent by USPS Priority Mail. Total weight is just under 1 lb. and they are 3 (mother) and 4 (twins) inches in length.
