I love to bake but don't want the extra sugar. Splenda tastes fine but leaves baked goods dry and crumbly. I've tried offsetting that with judicious use of unsweetened apple sauce with some success. Stevia leaves a distinct flavor behind. I tried Health Garden Baking Sweetener on a batch of peanut butter cookies (standard recipe, 1 cup peanut butter, 1 egg, 1 cup sweetener). They came out moist and delicious. I will reduce the sweetener as the cookies were almost to sweet. I may also add some oatmeal (there was that much moisture available!).
